Angelo River Village is the latest exploration camp that has been established to support the efficient evaluation of resources within the project area.
The village is now operational and has started to accommodate personnel as of last Saturday (2nd November). Angelo will continue to ramp up to its peak capacity of 40 persons over the next few weeks.
This trailer mounted village is expected to reduce the number of travel hours by approximately 1,100 hours per annum as our colleagues in Resource Development would have otherwise commuted to and from West Angelas Village (approx. 1 hour travel each way). This reduced travel minimises the exposure to increased driving risks and fatigue.
The village establishment works included:
Project Milestones & Scope
- Relocation of trailer mounted facilities from Little Angelas Village
- Supply and installation of new supporting infrastructure (raw water, potable water, wastewater, power, and communications)
- Liaising with local government and regulatory authorities for statutory approvals
- Sodexo operational readiness activities
After reviewing tender submissions from six local vendors, the main package of the village establishment works were awarded to Bennco Group.
The project was met with many challenges that could not have been resolved in a timely matter without Bennco continually going above their call of duty.
A big thank you to Ben Williams (Bennco Operations Manager/Director) and his team for delivering the scope of works both successfully and more importantly, safely.
