Bennco Group was awarded 6 x site main switchboard upgrades across the Tom Price mine site for RTIO, the existing switchboards to be replaced are over 20 years old and deemed unsafe for isolations. Bennco Group were responsible for the following:

Project Milestones & Scope
- Engineering design for new switchboards.
- Updated schematics and drawings for new switchboards.
- Client signoff on proposed new switchboard drawings ready for manufacture.
- Stakeholder engagement for isolation dates and times.
- Temporary generator back up to supply power to essential services during change over periods.
- Down stream isolations.
- Removal of old existing switchboards.
- Mounting and termination of new switchboards.
- Updating legends and drawings.
- Installation of new earthing systems to meet current standards.
- Complete all testing as per AS3000
Dealing with 20 year old electrical infrastructure provides its challenges at the best of times and electrical works being classified as a critical risk to RTIO this project has been executed with safety being an integral part of this project to ensure electrical safety to all employees and the end users.
That being said, again Bennco Group has delivered this project safely, on schedule and on budget giving our client an asset that is safe to operate under all conditions.
